In November 2010, I had the honor of joining JSMI Global Ventures on their Nepal short-term missions trip. We saw a lot of amazing things, but most importantly, 28,954 people committed their lives to Jesus, and 119 healings were documented by the ministry team.
Nepal was the poorest country that I have ever been to, but because of your prayers and support, tens of thousands of people are experiencing “new life” in a region confused by multiple religions and practices. My heart was heavy the entire time we spent here, because I knew there were not many opportunities for people to be ministered to in this predominantly Hindu nation.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for supporting me to go on this trip. Many lives were changed forever, and you had a direct hand in all that we were doing. This trip would not have been possible without your support
I am looking forward to hearing the amazing things God continues to do in Nepal through the churches we worked with while in country. Their faithfulness to God’s work is causing the church to rise up in a country where darkness has existed for so long. Nepal has just recently opened itself up more to receive the Gospel, and the harvest truly is great in this country! Please continue to pray and support ministries on the mission field.
ABOUT NEPAL
Nepal, officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, is a landlocked country in South Asia and, it’s one of the world’s most recent nations to become a republic. It is bordered to the north by China, and to the south, east, and west by India. It is about the size of Arkansas, and a population of approximately 30 million. Kathmandu is the nation’s capital and the country’s largest metropolitan city. Nepal is most famous for the Himalayan mountains which is home to Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world.
Nepal was officially recognized as a Hindu kingdom until 2008, even though many believe it to be the birth place to Buddhism. Over the centuries a strange confusion of religions has convinced 90% of the population to believe that all paths lead to God, and most have never heard the Gospel even once. It is one of the poorest, and least developed countries in the world, with over half its population living below the poverty line. The generations of fruitless religions, and rampant poverty demonstrate that this nation is ripe for the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
